You are about to read the true story of my life with an abuser who was also a police captain. I know there are lots of stories about abused women out there but mine is a little different because he used what I call "psycho riddles" to terrify me and he had other bizarre secrets that no one else knew until now. There was always a threat of murder in the psycho riddles and I, or someone close to me, was always able to solve the riddle. It follows my journey of physical and mental, as well as psychological abuse. I was beaten, drugged, sent to a mental hospital, and told that I was sorry and no good for twelve years. In spite of this maltreatment, I emerged from the relationship mentally healthy and physically unmarred only because of an invincible man that I will represent to you in the pages of this book. I live in a small town in Alabama. I was one of eight children born to my parents. I married the first time when I was seventeen years old. The marriage only lasted six years, but I have two beautiful girls from the marriage. My second marriage was to a police captain who abused and tormented me for twelve years. The children and I have a lot of bad memories from this relationship. I am currently married to my third husband. I have five beautiful children from the marriages. All the children are grown now with families of their own.
