When the darkness of this world starts to suffocate us, we are quick to ask, "Where are you, God?" Christian author Rene Lambert felt a similar feeling, questioning her belief in God as she struggled with a growing depression and disregard for the Heavenly Father. Her journey into darkness and how God brought her back to His capable arms is chronicled in her new book He Dries My Tears, a compilation of Christian poems and personal testimonials. Ren'e recalls the difficulties of watching her parents deteriorate in sickness, leading towards her resentment and eventual rejection of God. Yet even in the midst of her anger and despair, God reunited with Ren'e through salvation in Jesus Christ and showed He never gave up on her. She felt God "dried" her tears as He strengthened within her renewed faith, trust and hope in His unchanging Word and His unconditional love.
