What constitutes a secure foundation upon which a well-constructed life is built? It is character, which incorporates one's moral, ethical, and spiritual dimension, piloting a person through the treacherous shoals of life. Through the study of Proverbs, we can experience a radical change in our thought patterns, beginning to coincide with God's principles on practical topics such as people skills, stewardship of time and money, fortifying integrity, interpersonal relationships as well as a diversity of situations that confront us on a daily basis. I have selected and discussed pertinent topics, but in reading this book, you will be challenged and motivated to do further study as Proverbs gives the ultimate answers to our immediate circumstances. Dr. Peter B. Angier has served with The Navigators for 40 years, of which 13 years were spent in Lebanon and Jordan mentoring men. Following the 1975 Civil War in Beirut, he served as Pastor of Evangelism and Missions at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, California, Executive Director of Gospel Literature International, later as Pastor of Evangelism and Assimilation at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California. Peter's education includes Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from California Graduate School of Theology and Bachelor of Science from California Polytechnic State University. Dr. Angier is the author of Foundations For Life-Long Significance, and the award-winning Rough Waters, Polished Stones. He received a Proclamation Service Award from the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County for 50 years of Christian ministry. Peter and his wife, Ida, reside in Glendale, California, where he mentors businessmen and professionals. They have two sons and eleven grandchildren.
