This workbook is not an aptitude test, nor is it a test of your memory. All of the answers are right in your book, Marriage in the Mirror, and you should answer the questions while you are reading it or after you have read each section. This workbook, however, is intended for you to commit to memory much of what you have read, and, hopefully, because of this, you would be able to then live out its principles in your marriage. For that reason it is presented in this way. It is through discovery that many people tend to remember more, especially when they write it down. When I looked into the mirror at age five, ten and at fifteen, my reflection or image was different for every time. Really, I had changed mentally, physically and spiritually. For this reason, I would like for you to use a number #2 pencil to write in this workbook because some of the answers to the questions, at the time you give them, may not reflect what you want to see. I would like for this book to be a living workbook for you and your spouse that will constantly change as we, who are in Christ, are constantly being conformed to His image (Romans 8:29). So, as your marriage grows, and its image changes to mirror that of the relationship between Christ and the Church, continue to rub out or change your answers. There are, however, a few questions that you would answer that are not in your reading book, these questions are matters of the heart; nonetheless, if you are uneasy about sharing them publicly, you can discuss them with your spouse in private.
