You Become What You Think!
Ph.d Vera Alexander
This book was written to be used to inspire to all young children and their families to explore the child's individual interests to begin to develop a life plan. Children need love, patience, guidance, and most importantly our time. This book is a stating point for parents, grandparents, godparents, and others interested in a child's life to build a framework for success. It is never too early to begin discussion on the ambitions of and callings on the life a child. Many times natural interests or abilities are apparent before the age of five. If these interests and abilities are encouraged, nurtured and developed, they will become a part of the child's thought process, educational training, and life experiences. Proverbs 22 tells us to "train a child up in the way they should go...." Vera Alexander has 30 years of experience as an educator of students that ranged in age from PreK through doctoral level. She also worked as an interventionist and completed a dissertation study on Multiple Intelligences. Both experiences solidified her impression that very young children exhibit interests, strengths, and natural abilities. With this in mind she wrote this book to be used as a point of focus for children and their caregivers that will inspire them to put their dreams into action.
