The Gods of Mars (John Carter of Mars) Edgar Rice Burroughs

Armchair fiction presents extra large paperback editions of the best in classic science fiction novels. Edgar Rice Burroughs is best known by the reading public for his timeless series of Tarzan novels. However, following closely behind are the wonderful exploits of John Carter of Mars, a planet known to the native Martians as Barsoom. In ?Gods of Mars,? the sequel to ?Princess of Mars,? Carter finds himself back on Barsoom after a ten-year hiatus, during which he had been unwillingly thrust back to his native Earth. Upon his return to Martian soil, Carter finds himself pitted against the Therns, a white-skinned race of self-proclaimed gods. What follows is a nail-biting, intrigue-laden story that could have only been conceived by the grand master of science fiction adventure: Edgar Rice Burroughs.
