Bruce Wexler
In Classic Country Toys, Bruce Wexler takes us all on a trip down memory lane—if memory lane were a country road that led directly to the toy chest of our fantasies. He?s created a fascinating, illustrated history of classic country toys that will warm the hearts of young and old alike. Featuring Marx farm trucks, Tonka pickup trucks, Howdy Doody toys, Cabbage Patch Dolls, Doepke fire trucks, Roy Rogers cap pistols, and much more, this special book is at once a tribute to America?s rural roots and a joyful reminder of how important one doll or toy truck can matter to someone. Through professional photography, each toy is featured in close-up detail to highlight its special aspects. These toys, from the collection of the World?s Largest Toy Museum in Branson, Missouri, are guaranteed to help us all recapture a cherished piece of childhood.
