La Belle et La Bete: Journal D'un Film Jean Cocteau French edition

"The next day of shooting, we remained under the impression that it was theater, we noticed only the faults, we were hypnotized by absurd details. What is admirable in cinema is this perpetual dealing of cards, performed in front of an audience, the mechanics of which remain unknown." Beauty and the Beast, chronicle of the friendship between Cocteau and Jean Marais, is a moving testimony of the battle waged by the poet and his work against "the angel of illness."
