A Rae of Hope is a true story of incredible transformation from hopeless searching and despair, to a life filled with joy and purpose. It is my hope that as you travel through this life from a small girl to a great grandmother, you will see how the desperation came about and grew into an all-consuming ambition, then began the transformation. Along that path, you will enter the world of broken dreams, heartache, loneliness, and despair with only fleeting moments of shallow happiness and laughter. As you traverse the valleys of a multitude of relationships, you will begin to see the affects of the emptiness and pain that seemed so inescapable.

The author started her career as a clerk typist, but through her 34 years of federal government service, rose through the ranks to a very respectable post with responsibility for creating and directing training programs for higher level managers and executives at both NASA and the US Department of Transportation. Upon her retirement from federal service, she started her own consulting/training business and traveled internationally conducting training programs for civil and federal workers. She is known by her friends and family as "the effervescent one". Rae loves the outdoors including jet skiing, zip lining, and camping. She has three adult children, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grand children. Rae led a Women's Bible study for over ten years and is involved heavily in a number of ministries at her church.
