When a gorgeous-looking guy called Nick comes onto the bank where Brenda works, she discovers he's rich and divorced. When he asks her out she thinks all her dreams have come true. But Nick turns our to be a social misfit, a drunk and a junkie with an attitude. He tells Brenda he's an alien. When Brenda says she believes in aliens Nicks attitude towards her suddenly changes. He asks her to become his minder in his multi-million-dollar apartment overlooking Sydney Harbour. From that moment on, bizarre events begin to happen in Brenda's life. She becomes enmeshed in a shroud of mystery and intrigue. She embarks on an adventure that most of us can only dream about. And all the while she is not sure whether her adventure is for real or whether it is one gigantic hallucination. When she finally discovers the truth, Brenda's life is changed forever.
