This book is designed to be used along with our earlier book, Tomorrow Died Yesterday: A Survivor's Guide to the Loss of a Spouse. Many readers have asked for a companion workbook to record personal thoughts, impressions, images, ideas, and feelings related to their own grief journey. This workbook is the answer to that request. Each survivor has their own story. Writing that story, and sharing it with others, provides tremendous potential for healing, for releasing bottled-up feelings, for new insights, and for discovery of new resources. Hearing the stories of others can reduce feelings of isolation and aloneness. This workbook is a flexible resource. It can be used individually, as a journal, to facilitate private reflection. Or it can be used in informal groups, or more formal workshops, where the writing can be discussed. In any case, we encourage the use of this workbook for survivors to record and share their own stories.
