Superheroes Fight Bullying with Kindness MS Carla Andrea Norde'

This book promotes a pro-kindness, anti-bullying movement. The book encourages children to be kind as a strategy to reduce bullying in schools. It includes 10 Acts of Kindness that children can perform with their parents plus a Kindness Pledge for them to recite each day. The book identifies four types of bullying (verbal, physical, social, cyber), the people involved in a bullying situation (bully, ally, victim, bystander) plus the talk-walk-tell strategy to deal with a bully. Children are encouraged to talk to a bully in a kind way. If the bullying continues, children are taught to walk away and tell an adult. The inclusion of children dressed in superhero costumes as the characters in the book engages young readers.
