... In my own words I would call my work emotive poetry - it is unrehearsed - most often while I am writing the poem it is without any preconceived notion of where it is heading or even how I will get there - if a word comes to my mind I tend to use it and then proceed to imbed it into the poem - at times this works and at others I am certain it does not work so well - you could say that this is a collection of 'rough draft' poems that could be Poems ... but aren't - rather they are what I want them to be - spontaneous and alive - nervous and frantic even - I took risks - at times I even scared myself by brazenly pushing the boundaries - sprinkle throughout I have invoked classical form and word - in others I have brought in new ideas of what a poem is and how it could or should be written - the result might well be a Poetry nouveau ... or not - I will let you - my readers - decide ...
