At eight, Christopher is always late. But this is something that he cannot help because he is only eight years old and because he is only in third grade and the thing is, he has yet to tell time. Which is why, on a Wednesday morning in the middle of October, he misses the bus- he was late, of course- and instead of going to school he travels by train to Instancia where he is taught the meaning of time by none other than Father Time himself!
