Cantonese-Yale Abbreviated Old Testament Allen W Jang

Here is the companion volume to the 2014 Cantonese-Yale Abbreviated Bible (C-YAB), the first reference featuring major portions of the Bible in English, Chinese, and Cantonese Ping-Yam. In support of the C-YAB, the Cantonese-Yale Abbreviated Old Testament (C-YAOT) have expanded the coverage of materials from the old Testament by including portions from every book of the Hebrew Bible, and hundreds of apologetic and explanatory notes (with many drawn from Chinese cultural studies). It thus becomes a helpful tool to those who are not fluent in either the spoken or written Chinese to be better able to conduct Bible studies, weddings, funerals, hospital visitations, or for language acquisition studies. The Ping-Yam transliterations was that of formal Cantonese which, unlike the colloquial forms, can be understood by many Mandarin speakers as well.
