Oscar was a shy and modest mole who lived in Meadow Prairie. He and his mole family and cousins had tunnels all through the prairie. His home was most closest to the farmer Henry's large farm; where Oscar would helped out a lot. He had many friends from different species of animals. Oscar also liked to make new friends. In this book Oscar had to plan his own birthday party; he accomplished with the help of his best friend, Dillard, and his grandmother, Grandma Oscar.
