They are the lonely children of New York. Kids that have been forgotten, abandoned. Street kids. Neglected by society. Running amidst the city, orphaned, alone, left to fend for themselves, in a cruel and harsh world. Alex watches over them, watches over the lonely children of the city. For what choice does he have, if he is to exemplify the good, and avenge all that he has lost as a homeless man? And yet, even though he is a guardian, a guardian angel, he struggles with his own battles. Undiagnosed mental illness. Confused and pained sexual identity. His own battles on the streets as a homeless young adult. Mental torment, anguish and despair. Alienation. Sadness, sorrow. Forgotten and cast aside, never to feel compassion or love by those who have turned their backs on the vulnerable. And yet, there are angels watching out for Alex. And Alex ... he has a gift.
