The author's struggle with the concept of faith and the attachment to religion is portrayed here in poetry. What is God? Why do humans place limits on Him or Her or It? Where do we find God when we think we need a god to comfort us? The attempts to understand spirituality and ultimately to reject religious affiliation covers a life spent seeking from an early age, through a period of close association with the Catholic Church, to the independentb thought that has dominated the back half of his life. These poems are the journal entries of a lifetime quest, a quest that is far from done. Faith and spirituality are living things within each of us.
