Hero The Dog Anita Hager

Hero belongs to a pack of stray dogs, and he's responsible for scavenging all of their food. This was the only life he had ever known, and he didn't even know what his name meant! Then, one day, he stumbled across a group of dogs who are training to be service dogs for the blind. Hero feels that he has found his purpose in life, but it takes courage-and motivation from a new friend-for Hero to walk away from his old life, and start over. After a long but rewarding journey, Hero finally feels that he deserves his name.
