Much has been written about the relationship between psychoanalysis and Marxism. This book shows that any attempt to mix between the two conceptions is from any point of view impossible. It also makes a tour of the epistemological potential of Marxist theory to approach the human psyche from a scientific and humanist perspective, while highlighting the theoretical and technical limitations of psychoanalysis.
