Based on true events, "Until the End of the World" is the story of 14th Century Portuguese King Pedro and his forbidden love for a Galician maid, Inês de Castro. Amidst the turmoil of the neighbouring kingdoms, it was of utmost importance that Portugal kept itself apart from any external conflicts and that the King was allowed to rule in peace. However, love knows no rules or boundaries and young Prince Pedro falls in love with a woman that has dangerous connections to Castile and Galicia. Pedro's father, King Afonso is not going to stand by and watch Pedro destroy everything that his ancestors built for the love of a woman and decides it's time to take action against this Inês de Castro. A genuine historical account told in a poetic form that can only compare to the epic masterpieces of Byron's "Don Juan" or Camões's "The Lusiads", this young author seems to be able to revive what is great about epic poetry and at the same time, teach us about the history of a small but very old country. With an extreme command of poetic technicality and a clever use of Portuguese, Spanish and English, "Until the End of the World" is not only a great poem but also a great love story only likened to "Romeo and Juliet".
