I have a theory. It goes like this. Everything we do is about death. Everything. From reading a book to eating to sexing (that's a real thing) to sitting at the back of the class in school learning maths. From the day we are born to the day we die, death is at the centre of all we do, either consciously or unconsciously. It drives us, gives us purpose and yet is equally as capable of rendering us inert, unwilling, demotivated and demanding of its presence in an effort to control it.
