"Making Money Online as a Writing Retiree Anyway Despite 1-Star Reviews" is the sister volume to "How to Make Money Online When You're Over 50". When I released the first book, I wanted to test the waters to see if there was a need for that topic. There is. After receiving emails from my readers asking for more on the subject, I felt obliged to deliver. The first book, "How to Make Money Online When You're Over 50", was a mini-nudge (if you will), informing the retirement community that life is not over. I wanted to remind my peers that retirees are in a better position than when they were working full-time jobs. You now have the time to do what you want. Hearing the gloomy statements made by some of my friends showed me that retirees need encouragement. We need a reminder that life is not over upon retirement. In many ways, it's just beginning. Therefore, I wanted to inspire fellow retirees to reach for another dream, or perhaps the dream they never realized, to begin with. Someone gave "How to Make Money Online When You're Over 50" a 1-Star review. Although, it deserves mention, I won't waste time on "why" the individudal said the things they said in their accompanying comment. Instead, I focus on "why" I write. This book, "Making Money Online As a Writing Retiree Anyway Despite 1-Star Reviews", serves two purposes. I'm able to give my readers a more comprehensive volume of information, while simultaneously disarming the so-called "rating" system that many use as a weapon to discredit, rather than offer honest evaluation. In other words, "ratings are overrated". I don't give them, nor do I receive the ones given to me-- whether one or five. In the spirit of self-confidence and respect for the writing community, "I write and let write".
