Science is the future, yet there are few minorities in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) to embrace this future. One of the main reasons for this is that many minorities do not even know how to begin and pursue a STEM career. The Minority Nerd Adventures provides experiences from a mid-career minority STEM professional so that minority students and professionals can learn what one needs to do to begin and remain in the STEM profession. The Minority Nerd Adventures also provides stories to parents, educators and people within the community. These stories provide examples on how the parents, educators and the community was able to get the author interested and remain in the STEM profession.
