The Tail of Rugby Jones Claudia Broome

* 2016 Gold Winner of Family Choice Awards* Black and White Version What could be better to teach and entertain a child than a story about farm animals, dogs and cats, diversity, overcoming adversity, kindness, acceptance, bullying, respect, and hard work all straight from the "dog's mouth?" That dog is Rugby Jones and he is a lovable and loving dog with great big ears and a magnetic personality. He tells his story of overcoming adversity with wit and wisdom. Rugby's antics and blunders will amuse and uplift the reader. He offers understanding and encouragement to those who must deal with and overcome any difference or adversity. Rugby teaches the all-important lesson that kindness and acceptance shown by children and adults alike will make the world a better place for all. Rugby has an opinion about everything and what comes out of his mouth may surprise you! "Some of the animals made holes in the ground. I used to try to go into the holes to see what was in them. I think I was too big because sometimes I got stuck and then my mom would laugh and pull me out. "Rugby Jones, are you crazy?" she would ask. "You can't fit in there. Besides, who knows what is in there? There could be a squirrel or a groundhog and you might get bitten if you keep sticking your head in those holes." Well, just so you know, I never got hurt in those silly holes and I never found anything in them either. Sometimes though, I would hide my toys in the holes so the other dogs wouldn't get them." * 2016 Gold Winner of the Special Needs Book Awards: Children's Book - Ages 7-11 *
