The Revelation of Saint John An Open Book Irving C Tomlinson

Irving Tomlinson wrote, "The place which Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, gives to the Revelation of St. John is the place which every Christian should give to this book of the Bible." This precieved importance fueled the desire to republish The Revelation of Saint John An Open Book. The Open Book was one of several invaluable resources for understanding this particular canonical writing that so many Bible students have found to be mysterious. After its publication in 1922, and revision in 1935, the Open Book was widely studied by thousands of earnest Christians as well as Christian Scientists who endorsed and appre¬ciated the metaphysical and spiritual illuminations on the Book of Revelation provided by this ground breaking work. Our goal is to reintroduce this beautifully crafted guide for understanding Revelation, and its illumination by the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, to the contemporary generation of Christians. Mary Baker Eddy makes clear that all Christians and Christian Scientists must discern spiritually the ideas for which Christ Jesus toiled. She referred to these ideas, which he conveyed to Saint John in the Apocalypse, as being "spiritually indispensable" to fulfilling his mission for all mankind. Christian Science as presented to the world in the Christian Science textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures is in perfect alignment with the Bible and its prophecies. The correlation is astounding and provides convincing evidence that there is a correct path to spiritual understanding and demonstration. For this reason many today believe that Christian Science fulfills the prophetic requirements to be the final revelation as established in the Revelation of Saint John.
