Since the U. S. became a global power in 1898, American troops have been sent abroad over 100 times. In 2001, George W. Bush chose to attack the heart of the Islamic world. He had no exit strategy, and both his wars were unwinnable. The U. S. has spent between $4 and $5 trillion on his wars. Bush opened the floodgates for Islamic insurgents to enter Iraq and continue onto Syria. Tens of thousands of people have been killed, and hundreds of thousands more have been displaced. It is George W. Bush who has a sea of blood on his hands. Moreover, it is he who is responsible for the decline of the United States.
