Joel Webster's uncle disappeared without a trace forty years ago. That doesn't seem to matter because Joel doesn't need anyone in his life until his father dies and he finds himself completely alone. Regretting how he alienated himself from his family and all the verbal conflict they had, he sets out on a search for his uncle. If he can find his uncle, maybe there's a chance at restitution for the past. But the journey could cost him his life, especially when a beautiful woman steps into the picture.
