In order to keep her throne, The Vampress Luxura must battle the monster gangs that run the 5 Boroughs of New York. The relative peace between the Amphibians, humanoid water breathers; the Zombie Masters, controllers of undead hordes; the Made Men, a Frankenstein-ian Mafia and the feral Garou, a fierce tribe of werewolves is put to the test as Luxura must battle each of their champions in The Gauntlet, a supernatural trial by fire. After centuries of Luxura's refusals to join his side and rule with him, Pontius Vanthor takes matters into his own hands, deciding that if she will not join him in his quest for domination in a Red Reign, he will remove her as an obstacle. Luxura, determined to defeat Vanthor and protect everyone and everything she holds sacred, faces what could be her toughest challenge yet and quite possibly her own destruction.
