In My Favorite Men Doris Hinky is asked to take in her fifteen year old great grandson, Joel. He doesn't want to move from Wyoming and his friends to live with Doris in Oklahoma. He comes with a bad attitude. Doris has to be patient to earn his trust. At seventy-eight years old she knows she cannot do this without the Lord's help. She also has the help and support of her neighbor Charlie Scoefield. Through prayer Doris is hoping to find the strength to guide Joel down the path to become an honorable Christian man. In My Favorite Men there are many problems that must be overcome with God's help. Evelyn enjoys creating characters that draw the reader into the story. Her stories are fiction but the characters encounter real life problems. They search for solutions using the guidance of scripture. She publishes her books in large print and double spaced for the benefit of seniors.
