The author was speaking with a friend one day who said to her, "you're in the deep end and many people can't handle that"...there it was...the realization that the deep end is not where the masses dwell. Hurts from childhood to adulthood, losing parents and her only living brother by the time she was in her mid 30's, the process of divorce and rearing teens alone, a life-threatening illness after a documented mistake on the job...what in the world...would she ever come out of the deep end... While in the deep end she would learn, through prayer and studying God's Word, that Hurt cannot remain when healing takes place. Healing cannot take place without forgiveness. Forgiveness cannot take place without acknowledgement. Acknowledgement cannot take place without awareness. Awareness cannot take place without Honesty with ourselves about ourselves and others. She may have been dismissed by people, places and/or things...but you will find her to still be...relevant.
