My First Love Harminme Love

Hello! My name is Harminme Love, pronounced "harmony," and first, let me say thank you for choosing to read my book. I figured just my songs alone weren't enough, and I should tell the stories that inspired them as well. Just like Tomika, I started out writing poetry at a young age--around twelve--and it was when I turned thirteen when my first song was written. Writing songs was not something I set out to do and was due to my mother's disciplinary actions, where it all began. My mother would beat me repeatedly till one day, hitting me would no longer break me down, and I physically acquired a numbness to her lashes on my flesh.
