As a young girl fresh out of high school, coming from a dysfunctional family, this young lady joined the United States Navy at a time when there were less than 5% of women in the entire Navy workforce. She needed to discover herself & she wanted to travel the world. She was a hard worker & motivated to do a good job, but still found herself mixed up in situations that almost cost her the very career path she had chosen. Those troubles caused her to make important decisions about who she was & how she was going to live her life as a business professional. With the guidance & structure the Navy provided, she discovered her natural talents & abilities. Through many difficult situations & life altering decisions, she pursued her professional career with a passion. The valuable lessons she learned from the Navy followed her into the paths she forged in her civilian career as well as in her experiences while living for extended periods of time, in foreign countries.
