The research on religion is not good. If you think television and literature is full of violence, rape, killings, incest, adultery, etc. then read the Bible. It is all there. It seems Christianity is plagiarisms from the pagans but given a twist to fit into the Biblical interpretations. The Bible was written by men who seem to give women a derogatory perspective. Jesus disciples were all Jewish men, no women. Bias? The virgin birth, the flood, the Ten Commandments, etc. where all preached in religions long before Jesus. We are born into a religion for life. Only the Amish have Runspringa when a child reaches 16 years old, they have two years of doing anything they want, no restriction. When the two years are over, they have to decide on the Amish Church or another church or no church. It is there decision. No religion offers this sensible choice. No one has seen God, so how do we know God is a man and not a woman, animal, robot or holy computer. Some religions had women and animal gods. Is the sacraments of the bread and wine a form of cannibalism? Religions preach peace and other favorable qualities and yet violence seems to be behind most wars. Politicians create war and use religion for justification. There is a belief that the Bible is the best reason in support of Atheism. Throughout the book, the lies, confusion, deceit, inconsistencies, horror, rape and violence are brought forth.
