Dave Foster has a good job and a nice home. Entering the year of his 40th birthday, he has become aware that the physical side of his marriage to his wife, Sandra, has become non-existent. After trying to improve things, he realises that there is no hope of improvement, He is envious of his best friend, Peter, who seems to be having the time of his life with a different woman every week. Finding out the secret to his success is an online dating site, he decides to join up. Initially enjoying sex with a series of women he meets from the site, he starts to realise that this is not the answer to his problems.
