Thoughts Out of Season is a thought diary for the first six weeks of 2017. Essentially it is a collection of short essays detailing whatever I happen to be thinking about at the time. There was no central plan behind it. I wrote about everything that I happened to find thought provoking. Current events, historical events, personal experiences and philosophical contemplation all make their appearance within these pages. I was quite surprised at how much of my thinking has been dominated by Donald Trump and his administration. Normally, I did not follow current events this closely. When I began writing this I expected my personal experiences and historical events to dominate these pages as that ordinarily is what dominates my thoughts. I offer these thoughts in the hope that I have something of value to offer the world.
