Living in God's Economy Mary Sharon Moore

How can Christ-centered households live simply in a consumer-driven world? How can we all live more lightly on the earth?Living in God's Economy, a "domestic church" resource for Gospel living, is the practical guide for busy households that also are "domestic church," who care about their use of time and money, who care about others, especially those at the margins, and who care about "our sister, Mother Earth."Eight family-friendly sessions walk you through simple steps to edit your household's activities and spending habits, as well as edit all that excess stuff that is ready for a new home. Each session includes a Scripture-based backgrounder for the Prayer and Session leaders, plus suggestions and actual script to make leading each session easy. Session activities and "homework" keep everyone accountable for their part in the process. This hands-on workbook features the "Find-Choose-Share" process, 50 family-friendly worksheets, plus "Writing Our Family Covenant."Author Mary Sharon Moore has been living simply, "for the sake of the Gospel," for over forty years. Her writing, teaching, and speaking all reveal her love for church, for Christ-centered households, and for those who seek to make the world a habitable home for everyone.
