I am an American that has been living in Ireland for ten years. In the summer of 2012, I took some time off work to take my sons, aged five and three at the time, to the United States for a road trip. As we prepared to leave, I had no idea what a blessing the trip would be and how many lessons we would all learn. I can honestly say that taking this trip together bonded us in a special way-so much so that I felt compelled to share our experience to both challenge and encourage parents to find inspiration in their own families and to remind people that whatever their circumstances, they are blessed.
