The Catholic residents of Penns Valley, in rural central Pennsylvania, had to make a 50 or 60 mile round trip to either Bellefonte or State College to go to Sunday Mass. This book tells how a small group of devout Catholics, who were concerned about a religious education for their children, planted a seed which they nurtured; and it grew into Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church which was built in a largely Protestant area of Centre County.
