He majored in journalism in high school and is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. Ken began writing again after a spinal cord injury severely limited his mobility and "The Eleventh Message" is his first novel. While he already does laundry and dishes, his wife told him he needed to find something else to do with his time or start performing more housekeeping chores.
