Integrated financial operations are the integration, synchronization, prioritization, and targeting of fiscal resources and capabilities along with the related efforts of interagency and multinational partners and nongovernmental organizations against an enemy, and in support of the population, combined with minimizing the possibility that such resources/capabilities will be diverted or inadvertently misused to support an enemy?s financial networks. Further, integrated financial operations encompasses more than simple fiscal policy and oversight?they entail using finances to support operational objectives. Accordingly, the joint force commander requires the ability to manage limited financial resources within the Department of Defense and coordinate with other US Government and host nation agencies, multinational forces, intergovernmental organizations, and nongovernmental organizations to fully utilize financial resources in the accomplishment of operational objectives.
