And, his abuse and neglect have left him emotionally and physically in a constant state of alert. Looking at crisis from a Christian perspective, this series covers the traditional stages, Fright/flight, Anger/Depression, Denial and Acceptance. Bruin is a courageous dog, but shortly after arriving in his new home, fear starts to set in, and thus begins his adjustment period to his new life. Eventually he finds, that by honestly working through each stage, and resting his trust on Jesus, and those He would bring to help, Bruin can grow and move on from experiences and memories that would otherwise incapacitate him.
