Virgil Hundtofte is a consultant working internationally in the area of Assessment and Verification (A&V) and succession planning. His formal initiation into this area began mid career in 1988 at the time the British government was undertaking a major initiative for National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs). He was given the opportunity to review and contribute to the original publication of the A&V standards. His consultancy work consultancy work for the past 25 years has focused on the implementation of these standards in the business arena, and particularly in the promotion of localising the work force. He works primarily in the oil & gas, health care and banking sectors. Virgil?s work specialises in the provision of competence framework initiatives for large international firms by tailoring new approaches in order to realise an organisation?s HR strategic objectives while promoting learning for all employees on a lifetime basis.
