The Depth of Love Many of us have no idea how deep love is intended to run. Some of us only know how to love on the surface believing that love is only expressed through tangible sources, if we can't see it, touch it, or possess it, we can't even begin to understand it. Love is not superficial, although some acts of love can be expressed through giving tangibly, love does not end with simple gestures. The depth of love is shown through sacrifice, compromise, unwavering commitment, loyalty and the willingness to put someone else before you simply because you love them. The depths of love have no limits; there is never a second thought about caring, giving, supporting or encouraging. Some of us have chosen to never extend ourselves beyond what we have decided is sufficient, regardless of how the people who love us may feel. Unfortunately, many of us will never understand the depths of love because we cannot see beyond the mirror; our vision is clouded and all that we can see is ourselves.
