I remember, when I was a young Christian, how I wished somebody would tell me, in a practical way, how to apply the doctrines of the Word to my everyday life. It seemed that all the teaching and books were on doctrine, which was wonderful and needed - however, I wanted badly to know how to make it work effectively and become what Jesus wanted me to be in my life. This book takes the two verses in Romans 12:1-2 and makes a practical application of them in our daily walking, talking, working, family living, praying, and studying lives. I have shared what the Lord has shown me about what happened when I was born again and how daily growth really takes place in us as we renew our minds through taking in the Word of God - and, thus, become transformed - totally different than just 'trying really hard to do everything right'. I believe this is really GOD'S WAY OF BECOMING TRANSFORMED!! This book also includes a Study Guide, which is helpful for small groups. GLORIA HARTMAN was in the pastoral ministry with her husband for many years and has been involved in teaching and preaching the Word of God, as well as church administration, leading worship, prayer meetings and Bible studies. Through that work in the ministry, she raised two children, moving around with her husband several times. She had her own radio teaching ministry on a Christian radio station for a period of time and, through that avenue, began speaking throughout the area in which she lived. Since her husband's homegoing, she has been doing the writing which has been on her heart for most of her life. She writes concerning what she has learned about God and herself.
