Publisher Marketing: In the Ghanaian culture, a marriage is considered a contract relationship between two families. It begins when the man who has found the "beautiful flower" tells his parents, gets their approval after the parents investigate the woman and her family, and asks them to make his intentions of marriage known to the woman's family. In the Akan language spoken by the Ashantis of Ghana, this rite is called Kokooko (Knocking). The terminology "knocking rite" is derived from the Ghanaian tradition of respectively knocking at the door before entering someone's house. As the saga continues in this second book, Michael thinks that it is time to perform the knocking rite because Rachel turns eighteen soon. Will Rachel agree to take their relationship a notch higher than they are and receive her father and especially her grandma's blessings? Author Bio: Grace Boakye-Agyeman affectionately called Maame Grace by family and friends, is an ordained minister and pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Montreal. Grace is also a PhD student in Religious Studies at McGill University. She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and years of work experience in Child Welfare. In addition to her Christian Ministry background, Grace works with several community groups. She founded MSPN (McGill Parent Student Network) and Simonet Canada (Reseau de soutien et de services pour meres monoparentales) in Montreal. Grace loves to mentor young girls into responsible women, and it is for this reason that she writes values-centered novels for girls' education and pleasure. Maame Grace is married with three children and she lives in Candiac, Quebec.
