A Marshmallow on the Bus: a Collection of Stories Written on the Mta
Anne Born
What do you like to do on your morning subway and bus commute? Anne Born writes on the bus ? essays, poems, even a journal of a month's worth of subway rides, all on the New York City MTA. A Marshmallow on the Bus is a lively collection of stories that will make you feel like you are sitting right next to her. Part urban anthropology, part psychology, part transportation history: who knew commuting in New York City could be so much fun? From a couple of squirrels on a tree to a hippy on primary day to a noodle at the top of the stairs to yes, a marshmallow on the bus, this collection of whimsical stories is a must read for anyone who knows the MTA or who would just like to see New York as an armchair traveler.
