This Could Be the Day is a novel dealing with timeless themes of love, heartbreak, loss, and loneliness that are a part of young adulthood and life in general. The novel follows the misadventures of a young man known only as the Loser, who awakens on the cold December morning of his 21st birthday determined to make something of his life. On his journey of self-discovery the Loser crosses paths with April Meriweather, a girl who shares his loneliness and harbors a tragic history of her own. With guidance from both April and his friend and mentor Ray Polito, the Loser will attempt to navigate the pitfalls of life, and the search for meaning familiar to both young and old.
