Recapturing the Joy ~ "Bridging the Grief Gap" "was written to provide information that will assist in closing the huge gap that currently exists in society between those I call the "outside world folks" and bereaved parents. There are many misconceptions, myths that need debunking, and some work to be done in the communication area between these two groups, and each group needs to play in order for things to improve. While on my grief journey many years ago as a bereaved Mom, I became very cognizant of what was working, what wasn't working, and it became a passion of mine to work toward removing the stigmas and barriers that block us all. This book is one of the results of that passion. Bereaved parents feel misunderstood and the non-grievers feel ill-equipped to assist them.
