Christian dating is a platform not only to obtain the general knowledge necessary about the opposite sex, but also to prepare adequately for responsible courtship. Courtship does not just begin; a serious preparatory stage should be undertaken for any that seeks a life partner. Finding a life mate can be a daunting task, especially if the task is undertaken without the help of God. A believer will seek the Lord in the search for a good wife; believing him for success as Jacob and Isaac of the bible did. However, marriage will not just happen. The courting couple should seek the Lord?s face and work at consolidating their friendship. They should learn to be loving, trusting, patient, gentle, and forgiving towards each other. Discovering each other, they should use that knowledge to build rather than to devour each other. Learning the love of Christ for the Church, they should reflect to the world that Christ Loved the Church and died for her.
